98 Somali security agents on Wednesday concluded a training that will see the law enforcers execute their duties with gender and human rights awareness.
The security agents were drawn from Jubbaland, South West, Galmudug and Hirshabelle regional states.
The training was funded by the UK Embassy in Mogadishu and conducted by Amisom.
Among the participants were also drawn from key ministries related to security.
A report released by the United Nations Office For High Commission For Human Rights in 2017 showed that in the period between January 2016 and October 2017 at least 2078 somali civilians were killed in conflict. 13 percent of the deaths were attributed to state actors that is the police and army.
