Somalia officially joined the International Maritime Satellite Organization (IMSO), marking a key step in enhancing maritime security, modernizing port management, and strengthening international cooperation. Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur handed over Somalia’s accession documents during the 34th IMO Council meeting in London.
Somalia’s Foreign Minister has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening maritime security during a major EU Indo Pacific ministerial meeting in Brussels.
Minister Abdusalam said Somalia’s long coastline makes maritime safety a national priority and urged coordinated regional cooperation.
