Somalia’s National Communications Authority has convened a landmark consultation in Mogadishu, bringing together government, private sector, academia, and tech experts to craft a unified Cybersecurity Risk Management and Compliance Framework aimed at protecting critical digital infrastructure and managing emerging online threats.
The Minister of Communications and Technology, H.E. MP Mohamed Hassan Mohamed (Soomaali), emphasized the importance of strengthening national cyber resilience as Somalia continues expanding digital services and connectivity.
Somalia’s House of the People has approved a Cybersecurity Law creating a national framework, defining institutional roles and establishing SOM-CIRT to protect digital infrastructure and support the digital economy.
