The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has received diplomatic credentials from new Ugandan ambassador to Somalia.
Professor Sam Tulya presented his diplomatic credentials to the President at the Villa Somalia palace on Thursday.
He said he is delighted to represent and serve his country in Somalia.
The President and the new ambassador later discussed on how to strengthen defense, economy and education sectors between the two friendly states.
Somalia and Uganda share close diplomatic relations.
Kampala has the largest troops contribution to African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia (AMSIOM) which has since pushed armed group Alshabaab out of the capital and major cities across the horn of African state.
