Political tension between Somali regional leaders and Federal government has been intensified with the former setting conditions for a meeting with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, Radio Dalsan reports.
In a joint statement issued by leaders of Galmudug, Puntland, Jubaland, South West State they demand that a third party mediator and guarantor be involved in the meeting called by Farmaajo to resolve widening gap between the two.
The regional leaders also say they want the venue for the talks with federal government to be secured.
A communique issued by the leaders after the Inter state summit in Kismayu called for severing of working relations with federal government accusing it of interference and failure to secure the regions from militant group Alshabaab.
Farmaajo had called for talks in Mogadishu on Sept 17.
