Somalia’s northeastern regional state of Puntland is scheduling to host high level meeting on Federalism here in the Garowe next month. Officials from Federal government and the Somali regional states were set to reach Garowe for the conference.
In an interview with the local media, Puntland state spokesman Abdulahi Quranjecel said that region is ready to host the meeting in style. Garowe security has tightened and police have been conducting massive security sweeps in the last two weeks.
Puntland’s weekly ministerial meeting on Thursday was discussed ways of enhancing capital’s appearance, security and the planned upcoming meeting.
The conference is expected to bring results on the current Somali political fragmentation following years of political unrest within the Somali government institutions.
