Somalia president Hassan Sheikh arrives in Algeria for official visit to strengthen bilateral ties
President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, alongside a high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, arrived this evening in the Algerian capital, Algiers, on an official visit following an invitation from his Algerian counterpart, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During his stay, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to hold a private meeting with President Tebboune and other senior Algerian government officials.
The discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation in key areas such as security, trade, education, and diplomatic relations between the two brotherly nations.
President Mohamud expressed his deep appreciation to the government and people of Algeria for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation. He reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to enhancing the historic and mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.
The visit marks a significant step toward bolstering Somalia-Algeria relations and promoting joint efforts in regional peace, development, and collaboration across multiple sectors.
