Somalia’s President Holds Diplomatic Talks with Qatar Emir on Sovereignty Threats

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a diplomatic phone consultation with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, Emir of the State of Qatar.

During the call, President Mohamud reiterated Somalia’s firm position regarding initiatives that threaten the country’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty. He also highlighted Somalia’s strategic location and its importance for regional security and stability.

The Emir of Qatar expressed principled support for protecting Somalia’s independence, territorial unity, and sovereignty, emphasizing the importance of respecting the United Nations Charter and the sovereignty of independent nations.
