The President of South West State of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), on Monday officially inaugurated a new girls’ school in Wajid District, Bakool region.
The opening ceremony was attended by South West State government officials, including the Minister of Education, Wajid district authorities, and members of the local community.
President Laftagareen said the construction of the school marks an important step toward improving girls’ education, noting that it reflects the South West State administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality and inclusive education for all children, particularly girls in underserved areas.
He emphasized that investing in girls’ education is essential for community development and long-term social progress across South West State.
