The President of Jubbaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, welcomed journalists from Mogadishu in the city of Kismayo who traveled to cover the Somalia Future Forum currently underway in the city.
The high-level forum attracted significant media attention, with more than 75 journalists actively covering the event and playing a key role in conveying its proceedings and outcomes to the Somali public.
President Ahmed Mohamed Islam commended the journalists for their professionalism and dedication, expressing his appreciation for the efforts they made throughout the conference.
Meanwhile, the Jubbaland Minister of Information, Mr. Abdifatah Mohamed Mukhtar, praised journalists representing 22 independent media outlets, highlighting their important contribution to media support and comprehensive coverage of the forum.
The Minister also applauded Jubbaland-based journalists for their exemplary hospitality and warm reception of visiting media professionals, noting that this reflects the vital role of the press in promoting national unity, development, and public awareness across Somalia.
