President Hassan Sheikh Participates in Second Italy-Africa Summit

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, participated in the Second Italy–Africa Summit hosted by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.

The high-level summit brought together African leaders and Italian officials to strengthen cooperation and enhance economic and strategic partnerships between Italy and African countries. Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in key sectors including trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and innovation.

Leaders emphasized the importance of building partnerships based on mutual respect, shared interests, and sustainable development, with a particular focus on creating economic opportunities and supporting long-term growth across the continent.

The summit also explored ways to align development initiatives with Africa’s priorities, ensuring that cooperation frameworks contribute to stability, prosperity, and inclusive economic transformation.

President Hassan Sheikh reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral partnerships that support national development goals and regional economic integration.
