The Kenya’s government on Friday identified Mohamed Kunno who was once a close ally of Juba land President Sheikh Ahmed Madobe as the mastermind behind Garisa University onslaught and has placed a $215,000  bounty on his head.
Wanted Somali-Kenyan has left Garissa in 2007 to join Islamic militants in Somalia and was an active member for Al-shabab militants since then.
Kenyan security officials said that Kuno has prepared several terror attacks in Kenya and the border along Somalia. Scores of other suicide assassinations inside Kenya have been credited to Mohamed Kuno.
Heavily armed Al Shabaab gunmen on Thursday stormed a university campus in Kenya’s northeastern town of Gaarisa, killing 147 people including students, teachers and security guards as well members from Al-shabab fighters.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenya has recalled more 10,000 police recruits to start training in response to the attack.
Dusk to dawn curfew was also imposed in the region following the deadly attack.
International leaders like Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and US President Barack Obama have condemned the attack.
