Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo on Thursday held a meeting with the leader of Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman and Secretary General Abdirahman Mahdi in the Eritrean capital Asmara
This is the second meeting that the Somali leader is holding with ONLF in the wake of the controversial rendition of the organisation commander Qalbi Dhagah to Ethiopia one year ago.
According to a Villa Somalia source Farmaajo officially invited the ONLF leadership to Mogadishu.
In their first meeting held in July ONLF leader Admiral Osman had told the media that President Farmaajo expressed “regret†and “apologised†for the renditioning of Abdikarim Muse Qalbi Dhagah to Ethiopia last year.
Somalia government has recently warmed up to ONLF after Ethiopian government scraped it off the list of terrorist groups in the horn of Africa country.

The groups – Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) and Ginbot 7 – have each been engaged in armed struggle against the government in Addis Ababa.
