Alshabab has executed five men whom they accused of working with the Somali, Kenya and Ethiopian governments at a public gathering in Lower Shebelle’s Kuntuwarey town.
Below are the names of the victims:
- Abdiqadir Omar Hassan who is 23 years old and accused of working with the Qoryoley town administration.
- Abdiqadir Shukri Hassan, 30 years old, accused of working with the Somali intelligence service.
- Muhumed Abshir Ali, 35 years old, accused of working with the Ethiopian army in South West regions.
- Ali Yussuf Ahmed, 36 years old, accused of working with the government of Kenya.
- Ali Ahmed Sheikh, accused of working with the Somali intelligence service.
Alshabab has in the past carried out similar executions to people they accused of working with government agencies and AMISOM troops in the country.
