President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and the President of the Galmudug regional state Ahmed Abdi Kaariye Qoorqoor have today commissioned the official residence of the head of the federal member state.Â
The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday cut the ribbon of the building that will house the regional state leader.Â
Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud congratulated the leaders of the regional government of Galmudug for the efforts put into building the facility of public interest.
He said centers are an indication of the trajectory of the state and the country as it struggles to free the areas that are in the hands of the enemy.Â
He commanded the state leaders in rallying behind the government in its quest to degrade the militant group al-Shabab.Â
He called on the local population to support the government for the country to realize real growth and development.Â
Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud vowed more support from his administration towards Galmudug and other Federal Member States to better serve the people.

President Hassan Sheikh is on visit to parts of Central and Southern Somalia to assess plans and operations against the militant group al-Shabab.
Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was on Saturday welcomed in the district of Maxaas in Hiran region which is one of the areas recently liberated from the hands of the militants.Â
The war between the federal government backed by pro government militias and Al Shabab has intensified as the government claimed recapturing strategic villages and killing hundreds fighters from Alshabab, a claim the group has neither accepted nor denied.
Meanwhile, the President’s visit coincides at a time the war against Alshabab has been temporarily halted for unclarified reasons and were reported that the group reclaimed the control of recently captured areas.
Last week, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud reiterated his commitment to winning the war against Alshabab noting his government will not relent and also urged parliament to shore up support for the war effort.
