Somalis in social media have taken to Twitter and Facebook to show their anger on Indian PM comparison between Kerala state and Somalia.
Speaking during an election rally in the state of Kerala, Narenda Modi has said area child mortality rate is worse than Somalia.
Twitter users in Somalia have responded with the hashtag #SomalisTellModi saying his comparison is far from the truth.
Politicians in India were also angered by the comparison demanding apology from conservative Prime Minister.
Indian new ambassador to Somalia Suchitra Durai presented her diplomatic credentials to Somali President on November last year.
Ambassador Durai said her country is keen in helping Somalia in energy and education.
