Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre on Monday flew out of the country to Switzerland to join other world leaders for a three-day world economic conference in Davos Switzerland.
“I am leading a team to attend a 3- days conference for the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The invitation of Somalia to @wef is an indication that we are heading in the right direction” Mr. Kheire tweeted before his departure.
Kheire’s tour comes at a time when political tension in the capital is rife following Sunday ousting of Governor of Banaadir and Mayor of Mogadishu Thabit Abdi Mohamed.
Both President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmaajo and the PM are out of Mogadishu with the former on “reconciliation tour†in Galmudug.
Mr Kheire used a commercial flight to Nairobi causing a stir among the passengers taking time to greet and take photos with them.
This year’s World Economic Conference theme is “Creating A Shared Future In A fractured Worldâ€.
Somalia’s participation is a boost in it’s quest to return to the world stage.Â
The World leaders will be meeting from 23-26 of January seeking  in the plane with the passengers requesting for a took time to greet and take photos.
