Member of Somali federal parliament was critically wounded by gunmen in Mogadishu Hamarweyn district on Saturday morning.
Mohamed Ahmed Gurhan was rushed to a hospital is the city where medics are trying to save his life.
Gunmen whose motives is still unclear sprayed bullets with Hon. Gurhan car, his assistant escaped unhurt.
No one has claimed the responsibility for the attack but armed group Al Shabaab is known to target by carrying out attacks against government officials mainly members of federal parliament in Mogadishu.
Last week another member of parliament and former MP lost their life in Al Shabaab assault in Sahafi hotel in Mogadishu.
15 others were killed and scores wounded in early dawn attack on November 2nd.
