A high Somali delegation spearheaded by the President of Somalia His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud has on Monday taken off to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The President is scheduled to have bilateral talks with the Saudi King His Highness Salman Bin Abdiaziz. According to sources close to the President say that the mentionable Somali government officials accompanying the President in the visit are; the Minister for Information and Tourism, Honorable Mohamed Abdi Hayir Mareeye and the Minister for finance Honorbale Mohamed Adan Ibrahim Farketi.
The Somali ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Honorable Dahir Mohamoud Gelle said that it is very crucial for Somalia to have unshakable relations with Saudi Arabia.
“It is very essential for Somalia to revive its longstanding bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is very important and beneficial for both sides†said Ambassador Gelle.
The Minister for foreign Affairs of the Somalia Federal Government Honorable Abdisalam Hadliye Omar is currently in Saudi Arabia, and was there to pave the way for the Somali delegation before their arrival in KSA.
