Demonstration at Garowe, the capital of Somali regional state of Puntland have denounced the creation of central regional state which is ongoing in Cadado.
Puntland officials who spoke to the protesters in Garowe have said the regional state will not tolerate encroachment into its territory by another regional administration.
The leaders said they support a rival administration that is constituted in Dhusamareb in Galgadud region which is part of upcoming central regional state.
Sufi armed group Ahlu Suna Wal Jamaa which was also at logger head with Mogadishu government over what they described as interference by central government in the establishment of central regional state has also dismissed Cadado administration.
New central regional state speaker was elected in Cadado conference on Saturday.
UN special envoy to Somalia ambassador Nicholas Kay has welcomed the step forwad in establishment of central regional state.
