The Commander of the Somali National Army (Somali National Army), General Ibraahim Maxamed Maxamuud, has ordered all military units to fully participate in humanitarian relief and support efforts for communities affected by ongoing drought conditions in parts of the country.

According to a press statement issued by the army headquarters, all units are instructed to assist affected populations, provide security at relief distribution points, and facilitate logistics for humanitarian operations. The statement emphasized that the military should play an active role in reaching vulnerable communities and ensuring aid delivery is effective and secure.

General Ibraahim called on officers and soldiers to demonstrate their national duty and commitment to serving Somali citizens, particularly during times of humanitarian crises.
