The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to South Africa, Mohamed Sheikh Isxaaq, held an extensive consultative meeting with members of the Somali community living in Cape Town.

The well-organized gathering brought together various segments of the Somali diaspora, including youth, women, community leaders, and business representatives. The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation and communication between the embassy and the community, while also providing a platform for citizens to openly share their concerns, challenges, and priorities.

During the discussions, Ambassador Mohamed Sheikh Isxaaq emphasized the importance of unity, solidarity, and collective action within the Somali community. He encouraged community members to work closely with the embassy and to uphold a positive image that reflects the values and contributions of Somalis in South Africa.

The Ambassador further reaffirmed the embassy’s commitment to serving and supporting Somali nationals, ensuring their welfare, and enhancing engagement to address issues affecting the diaspora.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both the embassy and community representatives to maintain regular dialogue and strengthen collaboration for the benefit of Somali citizens residing in South Africa.
