The Minister of Health for Jubbaland, Ismaaiil Ahmed Garas, conducted an official visit to several medical facilities in Kismayo that recently underwent renovation and refurbishment. The visit aimed to assess the progress of the improvements and ensure that healthcare services meet the needs of the community.

Minister Garas was accompanied by the Director of Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Health, Maxamed Cabdiqaadir, the Health Coordinator for Lower Juba Region, Cabdirisaaq Jaamuus, and the Health Coordinator for Kismayo District, Mohamed Sheikh.

During the inspection, the minister reviewed the overall conditions of the renovated facilities, received detailed reports from management and staff, and closely monitored the quality of healthcare services being provided. He engaged with medical personnel to understand the challenges they face and the resources required to enhance service delivery.

“I commend the dedication and professionalism of our healthcare workers,” Minister Garas said. “I encourage them to continue their hard work and to double their efforts in providing high-quality healthcare services to the people of Kismayo. Our goal is to ensure that every resident has access to safe, efficient, and reliable medical care.”

The visit underscores Jubbaland’s commitment to improving public health infrastructure, promoting accountability, and ensuring that citizens benefit from modern, well-equipped healthcare facilities.
