The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, on Tuesday received the German ambassador to Somalia, Sebastian Groth, at his office in Mogadishu. The meeting focused on strengthening ties and enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas including security, investment, and economic development.
Prime Minister Hamza expressed his gratitude to the German government for its continued support to the Somali people and government. Ambassador Groth, in turn, emphasized the deep-rooted friendship between Somalia and Germany and reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to further strengthening the partnership to achieve shared goals.
Both sides highlighted the importance of ongoing collaboration in promoting stability, fostering economic growth, and advancing mutual interests, underscoring a shared commitment to long-term cooperation between Somalia and Germany. They also discussed potential initiatives in education and healthcare to benefit Somali communities. Additionally, the meeting included talks on expanding trade relations and encouraging private sector partnerships between the two nations.
