The esteemed gathering, which included the Deputy Commissioner for Security and Politics of the Banadir Regional Administration, the Deputy Commissioner for Public Affairs of the Banadir Regional Administration, the Hodan District Commissioner, and representatives from various civil society groups, witnessed a unified vision for progress and development.

Governor Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) kicked off the event by emphasizing the special significance attached to the revitalization of Mogadishu’s roads and the overall enhancement of the city’s aesthetic appeal. He highlighted the Banadir Region administration’s unwavering dedication to ensuring that the capital’s infrastructure matches its status as a thriving metropolis.

Governor Jimale expressed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the construction of economic infrastructure, with a particular focus on improving road networks. Echoing this sentiment, Prime Minister Hamza Abi Bare underscored the pivotal role played by well-constructed arterial roads in fostering peace, facilitating trade, and driving various developmental initiatives within the capital. The prime minister’s remarks shed light on the government’s broader agenda of bolstering the nation’s socio-economic landscape through strategic infrastructure investments.

The construction of the paved road will not only enhance connectivity within the neighborhood but also contribute to the overall economic development of the area.

The improved road infrastructure will facilitate the movement of goods and services, stimulate local trade, and create opportunities for economic growth.

The “Build Your Country with One Dollar” project represents a collaborative approach that harnesses the collective strength and potential of the local community. By actively involving residents in the development process, the project aims to instill a sense of ownership, pride, and shared responsibility for shaping the future of their neighborhoods.

In the coming months, it is expected that the newly built road will contribute to the socio-economic development of Yaqshid district, fostering prosperity and facilitating a better quality of life for its residents.
