Police in Mogadishu have apprehended a suspect who recently posted videos of abuse of underage girls on TikTok, Deputy Police commissioner, Brigadier General Zakia Hussein has confirmed.
In a brief statement, the Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, Gen Zakia Hussein said that the arrest of the accused identified as Hussein Hassan Gabow came after a tip-off from the members of the public.
´´Banadir Police has successfully apprehended Hussein Hassan Gaboow who recently posted videos of abuse of underage girl/s on TikTok,´´ said Brig. Gen Zakia Hussein
´´We thank the public for providing us with information that led to his arrest,´´ she added.
The suspect is being held for posting a video he posted on Tiktok after he allegedly laced a dring with a sedative drug in which she became unconscious and the suspect used the opportunity to unlawfully took videos against the girls.
Netizens have welcomed the arrest of Hussein and commended the police forces for the swift arrest.
