Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed hosted a luncheon in honor of President Isaias Afeworki at the National Palace

Religious fathers, ministers, chief administrators of regional states and invited guests attended the luncheon ceremony.

On the occasion, President Isaias expressed his gratitude to the people and Prime Minister of Ethiopia for the warm reception accorded him.

The people of Eritrea and Ethiopia have expressed their desire for peace, he said, adding “we are no longer people of two countries. We are one.”

The people of the two countries are linked in history, culture, and language, the President stated.

People of the two countries would undertake activities that could be a model for the rest of the world, the President added.

Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed for his part tanked the residents of Addis Ababa and its environs for the warm reception extended to the Eritrean delegation.
