Radio Dalsan leant through an aide that Jawari had Monday morning written a resignation letter.

His resignation follows a month long political tussle pitting him and theÂ Â Â Â executive.

A third attempt to unseat the long serving Speaker in Parliament was to be held on Monday.

Jawari has served as Speaker since 2012.
