In the attack targeting Qoryoley Amisom base UPDF said 6 militants were killed.

AlShabaab Spokesman Abdul Aziz Abu Musab had earlier told Radio Andalus the militant group’s mouthpiece that 59 Ugandan soldiers were killed in the Bula Merer attack.

14 Alshabaab fighters were killed according to the Spokesman.

Somalia National Army soldiers fought the Alshabaab militants after they launched attacks on the Qoryoley and Mashallay military bases.

These are the first coordinated attacks by the militant group on an Amisom base in 2018.
