Jowhar will be the new headquarter of Shebelle and Hiran regional state

Jowhar the host of final federal states establishment process will be the head quarter of Hiran and Middle Shabelle regional state administration.

Delegates who gathered at Jowhar have on Tuesday agreed that the city as the base for the new administration as per the federalization implementation is concerned.

The agreement will affect the decree by the President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud earlier that announced Bula-Burte as the capital for Middle Shabelle and Hiran regional state administration of Somalia.

Jowhar is agricultural town 90 kilomtere north of the capital Mogadishu and served as joint administrative capital of the transitional federal government which it captured from the islamic court union.
