Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency NISA has arrested two Journalists in Mogadishu on Thursday night.

Star FM reporter Abukar Mohamed and freelance online Journalist Abdirizack Suriya were detained from there home in Mogadishu Bondhere district.

The main reason of there arrest is still unclear and the two are currently being held at notorious NISA prison called Godka Jilacow in Mogadishu.

SIMHA calls upon the urgent release of the two from prison and brought before court for charges if any.

“The security agency must respect the international law on freedom of the press,: Chair of SIMHA Hassan Ali Gesey said.
