Three days Mogadishu International Book Fair has opened in Somali capital on Wednesday.
The colorful event which is expected to conclude on Friday is first of it’ kind since the break out of the civil war 25 years ago.
Renowned Somali authors and upcoming young ambitious writers from both local and diaspora are also showcasing their work.
Hundreds of books ranging from Somali history to religion, science and business and culture are on display.
Somali artists from neighboring countries have been also invited to tell their story whereas panel of experts from Somali universities discussed the challenges facing higher institutions of education in the country.
The Three day International event which many believe as a sign of returning peace and stability in Somalia was organized by New Horizon and Somali diaspora.
