Two security officers lost their lives when infighting broke out in the port city on Sunday morning.

The clashes broke out when officer dressed in civilian cloth was stopped by security officers and refused to be disarmed after suspicion of his identity.

After several hours of fighting between security officers, the officials in the port city managed to stop it.

Some reports say officers engaged in the clashes were from Intelligence and Jubaland regional state Interior minister body guards.

Armed group Al Shabaab was pushed out of the port city by Kenyan troops who are part of AMISOM peacekeeping forces years ago.
