Somali fishermen in Elhur in south central Somalia have said they are holding Iranian vessel that was illegally fishing in the area.

Abdi Abshir Gedi who spoke on the behalf of the fishermen who ceased the vessel has told Radio Dalsan that crew members who were armed tried to resist before the capture but no one was wounded during the exchange of fire.

Guled added that they will take the crew on board to the regional administration government in Himan and Heb for prosecution.
