Officials from Al Shabaab have confirmed to Radio Dalsan that they are ready to respond to Kenyan MP Adan Duale who hinted negotiations with the group to stop attacks inside Kenya.

Official said that his group will look into the Kenyan national assembly majority leader if at all he is speaking officially on behalf of his government.

Member of Parliament from President Uhuru Kenyatta Jubilee party was speaking to BBC Somali version during an interview on Saturday.

Duale called upon Al Shabaab to end attacks in majority Somali dominated North Eastern Kenya which has experienced wave of attacks meted against government officials since Kenya troops crossed over to Somalia in late 2011.
