At least four people reportedly injured in a bomb attack in Middle Shabelle’s Jowhar district, witness and government officials said. The bomb which was a grenade attack has raided government soldiers in Hantiwadag village.

Jowhar forces with AMISOM support made several arrests abruptly after the onslaught and no group has officially claimed attack’s responsibility.  The town’s administration imposed night curfew and limited vehicle and people movements last night.

Government officials in the region alleged Al-shabaab for the attack and no causalities has been reported in the attack.  The assault came just hours after Al-shabaab attacked government base in Walaweyn district.

The region security authorities have been conducting massive crack downs against Al-shabab and still there are questions to be answered on the security.
