Mogadishu, March 01, 2015 – The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia welcomes and appreciates the tangible efforts of the Government of the United Arab Emirates in alleviating the humanitarian situation of the people of Somalia.
As such, we hold a sincere appreciation for the offer to treat the injured of the heinous terrorist attack against the Central Hotel in Mogadishu on the 20th February, 2015, as the Government of the UAE today, dispatched a plane which carried 13 wounded from Mogadishu.
The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia conveys their sincere gratitude to the President of the United Arab Emirates HH. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan , Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates.
