Somalia Marine Forces Boss Shot Dead By Officer

The Deputy Commander of the Somalia Marine Forces Admiral. Said Ali Dheere was on Thursday  shot dead by a fellow officer at the forces base within the  Mogadishu Port, a security source confirmed to Radio Dalsan.

According  to the source at the Mogadishu Port  Admiral Ali was shot after a heated argument at the Officers mess during lunchtime break.

“The Colonel was in the mess lining up to serve lunch ahead of the Ali Dheere. After the Colonel was through serving himself Dheere shouted abusive words at him. The Colonel drew his gun and shot the Ali Dheere ” the source told Radio Dalsan.

The source said the two had on Tuesday been involved in a physical fight at the Port before before an arbitration to resolve their differences.

General Abdiweli Jama Gorod the Somalia Army Chief confirmed  the death of Admiral Said Marino.

The Colonel has been arrested.
